Motivation Training and Mentoring Services
ABS
consulting has been providing training for many years.
We developed the popular ‘Understanding and Managing
Building Services’ (UMBS) and ‘Project Management’ (PM)
courses for BIFM/Quadrilect and have presented them since
1998. From July
2006 we will be running an updated ‘Understanding and
Managing Building Services’ course under the ABS banner and
extending the training experience to include optional
mentoring and follow-up reviews for delegates.
Later in the year we will be offering a similar course
in PM.
UMBS - Why the need for change?
The UMBS course has been immensely popular with many delegates
attending on the recommendations of those who have been on the
course. However,
for training to deliver full benefit, the knowledge gained
must be applied and implemented.
This can often be difficult with all the other
priorities that delegates face when back at the office.
As consultants, we have substantial experience with
implementing improvement strategies for clients, based on the
processes and techniques described in our training course.
Recent work with a number of clients has demonstrated
the value of a combined training and mentoring service.
The demand for which has been emphasised by the
increasing pressure to reduce operating cost, energy
consumption and carbon emissions while delivering a
satisfactory working environment for occupants.
With
the above in mind, the primary objective of the new course is
to help delegates to make a measurable improvement for their
organisations within the six months immediately following
attendance. Delegates
who take the mentoring option will have the facility to
discuss with their trainer the application of the techniques
and processes described in the course over the six month
mentoring period.
The first of these new two-day UMBS courses will be held in
Central London on 13th and 14th
September 2006.
