Jim founded ABS consulting in 1987, his vision being that buildings exist to fulfill the objectives of the occupants by providing a safe, productive and sustainable environment. He has developed practical sustainable facilities management techniques that deliver the optimum of cost and value for the client.

Jim is active in promoting carbon and energy efficiency in the operation and design of facilities, with specific focus on occupant well-being. He is a regular speaker on occupant satisfaction, performance based service provision and carbon and energy management

Archie Spence BEng CEng MCIBSE

A founding Director of ABS consulting, Archie is responsible for the firm's Building Services Engineering and Project Management services. Archie promotes a holistic approach to adapting buildings and their services to the changing needs of the occupier. His practical approach to creative design results in cost effective low carbon performance.

Archie is an accredited Carbon Trust consultant and an accredited CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessor qualified to produce EPCs, DECs and air conditioning reports.

Associate Director
John Davy BSc CEng MIEE

John is head of Electrical Engineering Consultancy. He is skilled in the design and operation of building services systems and has particular experience in refurbishment and fitting out projects as well as resilient services for IT environments.

John's thorough approach to design and project implementation ensure that the whole building life cycle is carefully considered, from feasibility through design, construction and commissioning to operation and maintenance.

Associate Director
David Goode BA MBIFM

David oversees the development and delivery of Facilities Management Services. His expertise includes contingency planning, maintenance and operation strategies, plant condition assessments, maintenance audits and the development of performance-based operation and maintenance contracts. David regularly provides training workshops on performance based contracts, building services operation and maintenance strategies.

Associate Director
Dimitra Diamantopoulos BEng (Hons) MSc

As leader of the ABS Carbon and Energy Management Group, Dimitra specialises in energy efficient building management systems, strategy development and implementation and the application of Continuous Commissioning.

Dimitra is an Energy and CHP accredited consultant for the Carbon Trust and a CIBSE registered Low Carbon Consultant. Dimitra leads ABS' work with the Carbon Trust including design, implementation and specification advice, carbon foot printing, energy surveys and CHP feasibility studies.
